MEDUSA

Medusa also known as Mavel, is based out of Minneapolis, Minnesota. She started painting at a very young age using street signs, bridges and abandoned buildings as her canvas, this led to her love of lettering, trains and traveling. Medusa has been using graffiti as a tool to create a sense of belonging and to cope with the everyday effects of intergenerational traumas from colonialism and the genocide of Indegnous people of North America. She remains politically active in the fight for social justice, Native sovereignty and racial equality. Medusa has been a member of Few & Far Women since 2015.
