FEW & FAR & FRIENDS: ART BASEL 2021

In December of 2021 the Few & Far Women crew came together to paint with friends and guest artists from around the world involving a total of 49 womxn + lgbtqia artists! This was the perfect way to celebrate their ten yer anniversary, during Miami Art Week 2021 in the Wynwood Arts District! Participants traveled from Japan, Colombia, California, Atlanta, New York, Virginia, Texas, etc. and of course plenty of local artists from Miami and South Florida. FNF has been painting on 28th & 5th in Wynwood together for the last four years, and in Wynwood for the last nine years. It started out with just one wall, and has since evolved to three large adjacent walls, and various other added spots on the block! We believe this to be the largest all-womxn mural production in the city, and likely the whole country! The theme this year was, “the Few & Fairy Forest” : an edgy fairy vibe dotted with a plethora of mushrooms, cute animals and swamp creatures. The various art styles melded traditional graffiti with progressive street art aesthetics, tied together by a green forested background. We are truly grateful for all of the amazing artists that contributed to this special production. Everyone worked together, uplifted each other, and developed new connections with other womxn. The Few and Far Crew Productions have become a staple in the Wynwood Arts District. Tour companies bring their guests by the wall daily, and you can usually catch someone using our walls as a back drop for photoshoots, music videos, and of course selfies! None of this is possible without your support!!! We are so grateful to our friends, family, sponsors, and those of you who donated to our gofundme! Thank you to Glayson of Galera Collective, Steph of Wynwood Mural Festival and all the folks at Museum of Graffiti!!! Thank you to LTC Power Rentals for providing us with three lifts! Thank you so much to Sunbelt Rentals for providing us with 5 of the biggest a-frame ladders I've ever seen! Thank you Liquid Death for providing the most delicious mountain water in a an aluminum can (better than plastic!)! Thank you XBTO Group for believing in us, thank you to Fashion Village and J K Miami Corp for giving us a space to paint, and finally thank you to 8.6 beer for keeping us stocked the whole weekend!!!
